However, Zhu Xianmin believes that China's textile industry is also facing many problems. One is the increase in factor costs; the second is resource and environmental constraints; the third is the transfer of the entire industry chain. Therefore, the realization of textile intelligent manufacturing and the development of digitization, networking and intelligence have become one of the effective ways. At present, China has achieved preliminary results.

Zhu Xianmin believes that first, through smart manufacturing, the competitiveness of enterprises can be enhanced, so that the fiber processing volume of apparel and home textiles will rise steadily, and the added value of products will increase by more than 10% by 2025; secondly, through the development of new textile materials and in Industrial application, optimizing the industrial structure and expanding the scale. By 2025, high-performance fibers will account for 30% of the world's total, functional fibers will account for 50% of the world's total, and industrial textile fiber processing will account for 35% of the total. By 2025 The annual industrial energy consumption per unit product of printing and dyeing is reduced by more than 20%, the water reuse rate of the whole industry reaches 40%, and the renewable raw material bio-based fiber accounts for 50% of the world. "We must maintain a clear understanding of intelligent manufacturing in the textile industry." Gao Yong said that the current intelligent manufacturing of China's textile industry belongs to the stage of automation and numerical control, which is still far from true artificial intelligence. At present, smart manufacturing in the textile industry, like other domestic manufacturing industries, is developing rapidly. Under the guidance of "Made in China 2025", leading companies in the industry have carried out enterprise smart manufacturing transformations. In the three years from 2016 to 2018, a total of 27 companies have been selected for the new model and standard projects of intelligent manufacturing by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. It is understood that the current textile intelligent manufacturing includes the parallel advancement of digitization, networking, and intelligence.
